Model comparison

There are 2 models of deSide, with significant differences, allowing you to choose which one meets your needs most effectively. When you purchase deSide, you actually purchase a package containing a number of licences, and this is the first place where differences between the 2 models of deSide occur. When you purchase deSide, you can choose from either of the following two packages.

In addition to the package differences for the models of deSide (shown above), the actual licences for each of the applications in the deSide Solution behave differently across the 2 models available. You can see exactly what these differences are in the feature comparison tables below:

The deSide Client

Display Plugin	Allows access to the Display Plugin, which is a visualization component, allowing you to see a graphical representation of the NEM.
Analysis Plugin	Allows access to the Analysis Plugin, which is a data analysis component, allowing you to query and graph the various data sets in your deSide Database.
myLoads Plugin	Allows you to access the myLoads Plugin, which lets you create Load Profiles for use in other parts of the application.
Market Notices Plugin	Allows you to access the Market Notices Plugin, which allows you to see a list of recent Market Notices supplied by NEMMCO regarding market conditions.
global-roam Messages Plugin	Allows you to access the global-roam Messaging system, which allows us to contact you with important information.

As you can see, there is no difference between the Silver and Bronze version as far as components of the deSide Client is concerned, the Client simply allows you to interface with all the data you have access to. This difference becomes important however, when you consider the summary below (the different versions of the deSide Updater actually give access to different data sets).

The deSide Updater

Basic NEMMCO Data	Allows the Updater to access the basic NEMMCO data sets (which are the same data sets publically available on NEMWEB).
Extended NEMMCO Data	Allows the Updater to access the extended NEMMCO data sets (which includes predispatch sensitivities, and any other data that is restricted to the secure access NEMNET connection).
Dataserver 1	Allows the updater to access Dataserver 1, the most secure and reliable server available from global-roam. Data on this server is actually available up to 30 seconds before data on the other dataservers.
Dataserver 2	Allows the updater to access Dataserver 2.
Dataserver 3	Allows the updater to access Dataserver 3.

The primary difference between Bronze and Silver as far as the deSide Updater is concerned, is the access to the additional Dataserver, which contains additional or extended NEMMCO data (and is faster and more reliable). Therefore if you are interested in obtaining access to this data, or to increased reliability and speed of data updaters, deSide Silver should be your choice.
