global-roam messages

There are times when we need to contact you, whether it be regarding new software we're bringing out, special software details, bug fixes, new version releases or server downtime, there needs to be an easy way for us to get important information to each and every person using our software. Thus, the global-roam Messaging system.

This tab in the deSide Client allows us to send you important information, directly into your copy of the software. The messages that you receive are displayed in a list on this tab, in a similiar fashion to most e-mail browsers. You can see this interface in the following screenshot:

Double-clicking on any message in the list will open that message up in its own window, showing you who sent the message, when it was sent and what the main body of the message says. You can see this screen in the following screenshot:

Very rarely we will need to send you critical messages, these messages will not simply appear passively on the global-roam Messages tab. When a critical message is received, it will pop-up immediately, so you can view the contents. We understand that pop-ups are annoying and disruptive, but there are times when we need to get very important information out to our clients ASAP. We apologise for any inconvenience this feature may cause.
